Artificial grass fibers have “memories” which makes it difficult to bring them up after years of consistent traffic or pressing. To avoid such flattened turf issues, the heavy traffic area grass needs to be attended (such as using a push broom or garden rake of power broom) when turf fibers starting to flat down. However, in your case, the flattening already happened, you can try a few things (repeating several times):

1. Brush the turf fibers to the opposite direction of its standing up, then put a piece of wood board over it and leave it for couple of days.

2. Use power broom or push broom to push the fibers to the correct direction, then add more infills.

3. Use power washer to force the fibers to face the right direction.

All above tries should be done in a relatively warm day with plenty of sun which will make the fibers soft and easy to work with you. Again, you will need to repeat these several times and the results will vary depending on how stubborn the fibers’ “memory” is.
