For all the artificial grass installations that to replace the real grass lawns, a sub base is always recommended for proper drainage and solid results. A typical sub base is about 4” thick with a bottom layer of crushed road base and top layer of decomposed granite: such sub base is not only provide excellent water drainage capacity, but also a solid and smooth surface to lay the turf on to ensure a perfect end result. Some installations that have to be done over a solid surface such as concrete or decks, a sub base might not be needed or even feasible, we will recommend you to reach us by phone: 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thank you.
